I have been practicing some more. I was trying some depth and light. The next guy is a SKYLANDER. All these were taken about 100mm away from the subject with the 18 - 200mm I was just playing around with the light filter settings.

It's official I'm not real bright. I went for a walk today through a lovely National park, took the camera and was real keen to take some fantastic shots, and then after taking 1/2 a dozen shots then realised oh I don't have the memory card in the camera. doh.

lol, that is exactly why you need a cheat sheet. Mark down all the trivial stuff. Battery charged, memory card empty, setting correct, etc, etc. Put it this way, you'll never forget your memory card again

The funny thing is I remembered to replace the batteries today, but you are right as soon as I finished uploading today's photo the card went straight back into the camera. And I went and brought a new one on the way back into town, so I have a spare in the bag. Should have thought of that earlier!

Isn't it the best feeling when trying something new and it works

Yes, I love it when a plan comes together.

It's not photo of the day but here is one from this evening. This is the Launceston skyline. The next shot are from a local park.

Just a tip for landscapes bud, think in thirds. The sky is either one third or two thirds of the picture. Having half and half sky and ground is to be honest, uninspiring
