To be honest, I'm not a fan if landscape photography at the moment and that's probably the reason. I mean I love seeing what other, more skilled people can do but until I capture the right area or time or something and see a flash of brilliance from myself this will be an area I will struggle in for a while yet. But I know what you mean with the thirds thing I did some research and what I have seen is awesome. I need to practice and go be patient.

Just be patient bud, also remember that either early morning or late evening are the best times for outside pictures and either use a tripod or place the camera on something stable. The middle of the day, the sun is just way to harsh. Surely you have some nice winding roads lined with trees there. Or meadows filled with flowers, that against a colorful sunrise or sunset can look brilliant. An old barn or house that is abandoned with a nice background. You will start to look at things a lot more differently to others and probably annoy a lot of people to. There will be no more "just take a happy snap" you will direct people to a better place stating the lighting is no good, you will re-arrange where everyone is standing to make the picture look more symmetrical, you will be looking at what is in the background, you will be thinking if the trees on the left will compliment the framing of the picture with the long vines on the right side, etc, etc, etc. All of this will rush through your head in seconds.

I like the idea of the boys blowing the nettles away, surprised you were able to get them to do that for a picture, well done

With these next shots I was trying to capture the spinning coin. I need some more practice and a darker surface and background will try some more on the weekend.
